DENNY TO BEAULY POWERLINE CONSULTATION EXTENDED.

A consultion on the Denny to Beauly powerline is to be extended.ScottishPower has announced plans to carry the consultion through a voluntary period - it follows a formal one which was carried out by Stirling Councils Steering group.The company has carried out engineering and enviromental studies which will form the basis for their visual mitigation proposals.The consultation will look to community groups and stakeholders for views on the findings.See More

Pubs helped in fight against offensive weapons and knives

Every Public House & Club within Falkirk Town Centre has now been issued with hand held metal detectors for use to search patrons for weapons as a condition of entry.

Attempted Car Jacking near Polmont

Central Scotland Police are appealing for information following an car jacking incident in the Falkirk area.



Around 8.30pm on Wednesday July 7, a woman driving a silver coloured Mercedes car on the A801, had stopped at a set of temporary traffic lights on the approach to the Bowhouse Roundabout from Lathallan Roundabout.

Man dies after street attack in Camelon

A man who was assaulted in Camelon on Tuesday has died in Hospital.


41 year old Steven Snow was taken to Stirling Royal Infirmary when he was found critically injured in the areas Glenfuir Road.


A 28 year old man appeared in Falkirk Sheriff Court Wednesday in connection to the incident.

Van windscreen smashed on motorway

Police are appealing for information after the windscreen of a van was

smashed as it was being driven along a motorway.



The incident occurred on Tuesday around 5.30pm on the M9 near Polmont

when an object was thrown at the van from a bridge.
